James Brown, also known as the Godfather of Soul and the Hardest Working Man in Show Business, had a career that would put any others in the business to shame. He worked tirelessly until his unfortunate demise on Christmas day in 2006 writing, recording and performing some of Soul and Funks true classics. He notched up an impressive seventeen R&B #1’s including It’s A Man’s Man’s World, I Got You (I Feel Good), Make It Funky and Super Bad.  GRAVITY was produced by Dan Hartman (Relight My Fire, Instant Replay, I Dream About You) in 1986 due to the phenomenal success of LIVING IN AMERICA from the soundtrack to Rocky VI. This single gained the #4 spot in the Pop chart, #10 in the R&B and #5 in the UK.  GRAVITY, the follow up single reached #26 in the R&B chart as well as #93 in the Pop chart. Also featured on this album is the James Brown classic TURN ME LOOSE, I’M DR. FEELGOOD which is a sure fire dancefloor filler.  HOW DO YOU STOP was the third single release and returned James to the R&B top 10. It is a minor classic in Brown’s catalogue and was later covered by none other than Joni Mitchell on her 1994 album Turbulent Indigo.  Released in deluxe Super Jewel cases, with bonus tracks, GRAVITY is a must for all Soul, Funk and Dance fans out there!
