Hazelwood Records (King Khan & Shrines, Mardi Gras BB) present the debut from Germany's The Audience, from the fertile artistic and musical community of Hersbruck, home of The Robocop Kraus, The Plane Is On Fire, Yucca and Hidalgo. Five young gentlemen - a keyboardist that lets his organ scream with the help of a distorted Leslie, a high flying singer with a hefty splash of Robert Plant meets Joe Cocker, a guitar master like a blonde Pete Townshend during "Live at Leeds", and a drummer that can definitely down as many White Russians as Keith Moon. But The Audience is anything but a retro band, unleashing a potpourri of rock, punk, garage and new wave fragments wrapped up in a fluttering overcoat of warming psychedelics.
