"Trill" has an old school Hip-Hop vibe reminiscent of some Prince Paul/De La classic, but is updated with the new school through Co$$'s west coast rhyme scheme. Staying on topic through the song, Co$$ develops different stories dedicated to the premise of keeping it "trill". The beat, produced by Chikaramanga, of Giant Panda, contains many layers, from piano riffs that come in and little guitar "wahs" that drop out throughout the track.
