    label: citadel

It was eight years between this album and its predecessor Distemper, with only the intervening minor releases of Pedestal and Woe Betide. It had taken that long to get a stable lineup together that in any way matched the classic combination of Younger / Dickson / Owen / Fisher. The recording was not a trouble free affair and a total remix was needed almost ruining Citadel in the process. Not that anyone in the band gave a stuff. Still, this is a high point in the New Christ's discography and represents a turning point of some type. The record has done the biz in Europe despite being neglected at home.
