• muffx Saw the (CD, £8.95)

    label: Beard of Stars

Debut offering by Italian foursome MUFFX is conceived as if it's sorta live in the studio and thus devoid of special effects. Vintage valve amps (the bass uses an old EKO with natural saturation) and shots of analogic synth. Ten gloomy and energetic, at times even lo-fi tracks, so typical of the melodic post-stoner. Everything supported by rauchy alcoholic vocals. Rock'n'roll, psych and harsh feelings complete the scene together with psychotic jingles. They talk about an improbable desert built up into a boring village to escape the daily reality that leads to rage and claustrophoby. Saw The stinks of alcohol and has the taste of asphalt.
